SABIC Teesside win the Communities and Reputation Award at the NEPIC Annual Awards Dinner 2025

SABIC Teesside were awarded the Communities and Reputation Award at the annual NEPIC (North East Process Industries Cluster) Awards Dinner held at Hardwick Hall at the end of March. Karen Redfearn, Communications Business Partner collected the award, sponsored by ConocoPhillips on behalf of the Teesside (UK) Site.

SABIC won praise for the diverse range of Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) activities they undertake annually in the Teesside and wider North East region in the form of sponsorships, donations, in-kind contributions, and volunteerism.   

SABIC have a strong CSR policy working across four key areas -Environmental Protection, Education, Health and Wellness and Community Support. The company also has a strong ethos around volunteering, encouraging employees to allocate a portion of their time to support activities around these themes.

Karen Redfearn said: “As a key employer in Teesside in the process sector, SABIC feel it is their responsibility to be at the heart of the community. The local SABIC team are fully committed to engage, support, and partner with as many stakeholders in the local community as possible. I would like to relay my thanks to all the employees who give their time freely to support the local communities nearest to our manufacturing sites who need it most.”

SABIC have chosen High Clarence Primary Academy (located near the company’s North Tees Site) as the beneficiary of a £2,000 winners award to use for a STEM-based project of their choice.
